Tank Carder

For those who aren’t familiar with the resilient spirit and unparalleled determination that is Tank Carder, allow us to introduce you to a man whose journey has been anything but ordinary. From the football field to the concrete industry, Carder’s story is a testament to overcoming adversity and building an enduring legacy.

BMX Champion Turned Football Star

Before he donned his football jersey, young Tank was a BMX World Champion at the tender age of 10. But just a few years later, he faced what many would consider an insurmountable challenge. At 13, Tank was involved in a devastating accident where he was thrown from a vehicle, and to make matters worse, the vehicle rolled over him. This left him with a broken back, shattered ribs, and a punctured diaphragm and lung. The road to recovery was not just about physical healing but mental and emotional fortitude. But as his moniker suggests, “Tank” wasn’t one to back down easily.

High School Triumphs

Tank’s sheer willpower propelled him back into the world of sports, making his mark at Sweeny High School in Texas. During his senior year, he was a force to be reckoned with, racking up 1,200 yards of offense and making a jaw-dropping 116 tackles on defense. Though regarded as a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, his stats and commitment spoke volumes more than any rating ever could.

About us

From TCU to the NFL

Tank’s collegiate football journey was nothing short of spectacular. At Texas Christian University (TCU), while pursuing his BA in communications, he wasn’t just a player; he was a beacon of leadership and skill. Earning accolades as a two-time Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and 2011, Carder’s prowess was undeniable.

One of his most notable achievements came in the 2011 Rose Bowl, where he secured TCU’s win by batting down a crucial two-point conversion pass, sealing the game with a 21-19 score. This feat didn’t just earn TCU the victory but also crowned Carder as the Defensive MVP of the Game.

This college success opened the doors to the NFL, where he began with the Buffalo Bills in 2012. But destiny had other plans, and later that year, he found a new home with the Cleveland Browns, where he played until 2018.
